There was litterally nothing that I didn't like it Florida. It was like a paradise. I wonder why? lol
The sun, people, pool, and house. It was all fun. To get there, it was sort of like an adventure. The memory of it all is slowly diminishing so I will just type it all down before I forget it all in 5 years:
We woke up pretty early to get our stuff ready for the big trip. It was only me, erik, and monique that were going to Florida. We got the the airport faster than I expected. I was positive that we were going to make it.
At first we arrived with our parents at the airport. It took about 20mins to get service. This lady who was in back of us in line asked my father if she could skip. He said that we've been waiting here for about an hour. She was a pretty essentric woman, eager to get on her plane.
When it was our turn to talk to the people, they told us that we were very late. I was so dissapointed and I thought I was never going to experience life outside of New York. We left the airport with our head hung low and I saw a plane take off overhead. Now that got me so mad. I could just imagine me, erik, and monique on that plane (all alone: that's the good part) headed toward Florida. We got in the car and dad went on about how we should have woken up earlier. I agreed with him. We got back home and I took off my clothes, put on my boring home clothes, and went in my bed and continued my monotonous life. An hour later my father arrived and said to get on my clothes. I started to get hopeful that we were going after all. He said we were taking a stop at Georgia first then to Florida. We got back into the car and headed off. Traffic was terrible!! We stood in the same part of the highway for about 20mins. About 15mins later we got onto the bridge and still there were more traffic. When we finally got to the airport my dad sat on the chair while me, monique, erik and mom went on line. It was finally our turn to get our tickets and my dad came back. I should have sat down in the seat he was sitting in because it took like an hour to get the tickets and get on the security line. When we finally got to the security line, we were ready and happy to get through it and get straight to the port. But when the security people asked my mom for her ID, time streched. Since she didn't have ID then, she had to go through extra security. Once me, erik, monique, and dad took of our shoes, metals, and gone through scanning, we waited by the food section for mom to come. When she came we started rushing to our port. Did I forget to mention a day before this my dad shaved my entire head bald so I couldn't enjoy this excitment as much as I wanted to.
We stoped by a line and looked at the waiting planes on a tv. After about 15mins we realized that our plane had been on the screen all that time, waiting for our arrival. When we got there, we had to endure more waiting as a staff member made our wrist tags.
We call kissed and hugged and said goodbye. We we finally left into the plane, I couldn't feel anything. Not sadness, fear, or anything. I guess I was becoming more able to be gone from my parents. We got into the plane and I look into the isle. Boy, I hate it when there's alot of people looking at me. I knew people were looking at me not just because of my bald head. It was also because of my height. Sheesh! I hate being tall. It's always a distraction and I can never enjoy being a kid because of it. So anyways, I sat next to these two ladies. One looked like the other ones mother. I was all the way to the left on the last seat of them while monique and erik were to the right of one man. We wereall in the front seats in the same row. I looked out the window and imagined flying, being away from my parents, and how life was going to be in Florida with my grandparents. It took a while for the plane to take off but when it did I was siked! I felt as if the plane would fall at any minute. I saw baseball feilds and schools and trees. But it got smaller as we rose to 31,000 feet.
Later into the flight I got to know the women a bit more. I hate to say that I forgot her name, but...yeah. She brought her "kindle", a magazine, and a newspaper. I asked if I could read the paper and I did. I put on my headphones and listened to music, news, and a soap opera. I got some good tasting cookies with the DELTA logo on it. The flight was amazing! I saw the curve of the Earth and everything. It was a great feeling to be way up there. It was exhilarating!
When we finally landed in Gerogia I got off the plane. I said bye to the two women and erik, monique, and I got escorted to a little car that took us to a kids place. A little kids room to keep us until our plan to West Palm Beach arrived. There were about 6 of these kids in there, all seemed to be related to each other. All wearing pink. We sat down and I couldn't feel fully relaxed cause of my height and baldness, again. There was a tv in there and we watched Zoey 101, Drake and Josh and some other stuff, my favorite shows. We got our own $7.00 pre-paid paper thingy so we can go to the food place and brink back our stuff. I got a chicken and french fries. Monique got a pizza, and erik got a hamburger (plain, of course). The car guy kept calling us to get on the car and we went around the whole entire airport to see if our plane arrived. Why can't he just check if the plane came and then come and get us? Is that too hard to do?
We had to wait longer because our flight got delayed.
In due time, we were the only ones there. The other kids flew off into the night sky as we played in the play room and relazed, barely. Then, it was finally time. We got our stuff packed, I made sure I got my phone and bag, and headed on the car. When we got to the port we waited for our tickets. We got into the plane and I sat in the row across monique. By now, it was about 7:00. I looked outside to see it raining and I even saw lighting. Then all of the sudden, these two dirty guys sat next to monique. A little while later she was moved to a seat in the back.
Star Trek played in the plane while we flew. I didn't bother to listen to it because it was just boring, and I was sleepy. So I slept and woke up, slept and woke up, slept and woke up again. I looked out the window and saw the wing of the plane rapped with fog. A little while later I could see the city of Florida, with its orange lights. When it landed we had to wait for everyone to get off the plane. I could have sworn every passenger that passed me was looking at my bald head. When it was time to leave I thought I had lost my luggage. I then found it on one of the shelve doors. I was relevied.
I looked out the window and saw the palm trees and lights. It was all so great! We were escorted out and I saw them. Nana lucia, and Gramps. They were the only ones there. They told me they were waiting since 6:00. We left and started our whole great-hald summer in Florida!
It was great, the sun and fun. It was everything I could have imagined and more.
Well, that was a great time that filled up this year with great things. Cya. I'll be back next year in 2010 to give you...I mean me more!
